How secure is our data?

Given that most organisations are storing people's personal details on our servers, both you and we want to keep your data very secure.

To achieve this end, we use various precautions, such as hardware firewalls and restricted physical access to our servers.

In addition, we only allow people who you have authorised to access your own data. We achieve this through the use of user id's and passwords to uniquely identify each individual. Each user of the system is identified with an organisation in our database and can only administer the data for that organisation. Certain parts of our database, which we consider particularly sensitive, are held in encrypted form.

Our physical servers and firewalls are managed by Amazon, a provider of high availability and high security server infrastructure.

For more information about the state-of-the-art hosting platform provided by Amazon, please see http://aws.amazon.com.

While the service levels on Amazon are very high, there are times when any server infrastructure can fail. to minimise any disruption in case of system failure, we keep regular backups of your data. The Amazon architecture allows rapid restoration of our backups.

You may also want to know that our services are provided by a UK company, Rumberti Ltd, which is registered with the UK Information Commissioner under the UK Data Protection Act.
